Art 230 business card project in a digital mockup.
The purpose behind the project is to promote students for freelance graphic design work by using typography in a decorative and informative way. Using only the fonts included in the student font pack and a total of 3 colors, students were instructed to create a personal business card and logotype. The restrictions taught students to communicate their personality and how they can be contacted through the use of typography.
The design process included creating initial sketches, converting the sketches to digital, making additional variations and refinements, adding color, selecting a final design, and preparing the final design for print with a press ready file and style guide.
