A KARANTÉN ZÓNA
"A Karantén Zóna" is a Hungarian sketch-film, consisting of five short stories, all set during the lockdown of the covid pandemic. Each comes with a surreal and absurd twist.
I was the costume designer for two of the episodes.
The episode "Egyedül" depicts the days of a couple living in a small inner-city apartment, where they are closed together and each other's constant presence causes unease.The female character suddenly starts to see her husband multiplied, cooking, playing guitar, looking for books, packing up, all happening in the same time. At the end of the film, the situation is reversed, the wife being multiplied.
From a costume point of view, it was challenging and exciting to coordinate so many different costumes combined in the same shot.
