Tell's Crossbow

This is a sci-fi crossbow, a weapon of the famous Swiss folklore hero hunter William Tell, except this is his fictional appearance in the famous Japanese mobile game Fate/Grand Order (2015-), which has a tendency to portray historical/mythological figures in a way no one can expect.
As strange as it sounds, William Tell turns from a 15th century figure to a modern military old man with a high-tech crossbow, ready to shoot some apples off some kids’ heads.
As for the model, the design has some bizarre elements like being stockless and energy laser sights. But still maintain the string mechanism of modern crossbows. Creative liberties were taken to remake the bow in 3D along with some details that should enrich its appearance like the Picatinny-inspired rail for extra optical sight options and extra glow lines, because sci-fi and cool factor.
