SHIRAZ

According to legends, Shiraz, the son of Temurs, one of the kings of the Pishdad dynasty, founded the city of Shiraz and gave its name to it. On the other hand, based on historical books, the city of Shiraz was founded in the 1st century. Those who founded this city borrowed its name from a castle around this city that was built before Islam and had the same name. Also, the name of Shiraz has been recorded in books and historical documents with different names such as "Tirazis", "Shirazis" and "Shiraz".
In the 13th century, the city of Shiraz became famous as Darul Alam due to the prosperity of science, culture and art. In addition to the history of architecture and buildings in Shiraz, a large number of famous Iranian poets, Sufis and philosophers were born in Shiraz, who had an important contribution in making the city of Shiraz famous, among them Saadi, Hafez and Mulla Sadra.

- Tourism
Naturally, for every tourist who intends to enter a city (both Iranian and foreign), there are different tools for navigation, one of which is a map (in its classic form). By seeing the desired location on the map and the angle of familiarity that the audience finds in relation to it (map), he finds the route/city and enters it.
- concept
The main idea for the emblem of Shiraz is taken from the architecture (which is famous among Iranians as well as outside Iran) which is also world famous. In various talks about the need to see various concepts and issues from the authorities, as well as the organizers of this event as expectations and briefs, it was emphasized that things such as the importance of Shiraz as a religious, cultural, historical, literary and mystical city , to be considered or seen. Therefore, three important buildings were chosen to cover it.
- Quran Gate
- Persepolis
- Hāfezieh

Each of these buildings includes the things that were mentioned.
- Qur'an Gate as one of the few entrances of Shiraz, which currently only has this entrance and its name carries with it a religious burden.
- Persepolis, which is world famous and civilization and history are hidden and visible in it.- Hāfezieh, in which the customs of literature, culture and mysticism are fully manifested.

- In another stage of this concept, (as mentioned in the tourism section) is the type of angle of view of these buildings. Using the isometric angle and placing them in three faces of a tetrahedron and leaving the fourth face free is the path of the rising sun, which is a symbol of initiation, illumination, warmth and life.• The closeness of these three buildings to each other is derived from the type of thinking prevailing on the architecture of Shiraz city, which indicates introversion (Memarian Magazine, 1996: 147).• In order to achieve the color in this sign, the color found in Bahar Naranj was used, which is one of the things that Shiraz is famous for.
