Solitude - 2021
Friendships, community, and family gatherings play an integral role in maintaining us mentally fit and defining our public identity. due to the COVID-19 lockdown, many vulnerable groups such as the elderly might have faced issues with their loneliness. The idea of this project poured into my mind under influence of Tomiko Jones's project named (Passage). This project contains photos of my grandma's home to delineate the feeling of depletion and solitude that she is undergoing during this odd era. Persian grannies are always renowned for their hospitality and warm reception. they are used to seeing their homes full of guests, children laughing, and family gatherings, all omitted during the outbreak. There are still a lot of dinner tables to gather around, a lot of unique memories to make in these Authentic old homes, and of course, a lot of kind eyes are waiting for us to come around. It's ours not to forget them.
