Robben Island Rebranding

The rebranding of the Robben Island museum was inspired by the history and location of the island.  This modern linear design includes the face of Nelson Mandela who was famously imprisoned on the island, one of the 7 wonders of the world - table mountains and waves to indicate the rough ocean around the island. The secondary merchandise logo represents the 3000 political fighters who were imprisoned on the island during the apartheid era. Each scratch represents a prisoner and the single coloured scratch represents Nelson Mandela to show the public that he was not the only freedom fighter to challenge the apartheid rule.  The plus sign at the end represents the fighters who were not accounted for indicating that there were more than 3000.
