Watch One
Watch One is a prototype smartwatch that features both an analog and digital clock. Additionally, it can receive weather information, complete with the current temperature and weather conditions. Different screens can be navigated to with the three buttons on the side of the watch.
Analog Watch Face
The Analog watch face shows off a simple clock with minimal information. There are hands for hours, minutes, and seconds. White rectangles dot near the edges of the screen.
Digital Watch Face
The digital watch face displays more than just time. It also displays the date and a colour-changing circle to keep track of passing seconds. The background is a black and grey crystallisation.
Weather App
An app for viewing nearby weather is also included. It lists the city, current temperature in Celsius, and the low and high temperature. Various icons for weather conditions will light up based on the forecast.

Weather information is pulled from OpenWeather's API.
Game
Watch One also contains a playable, low-fidelity game that is controlled with an accelerometer. Players control a square and avoid green squares.

The player can ascend by tilting their arms downwards and descend by bringing their arms back to level.
PCB Design
A four-layer PCB containing an ESP32 was used to control and program the smartwatch with Arduino IDE. The PCB was designed in EasyEDA.
Enclosure
Watch One is housed inside of a 3D printed resin enclosure. This enclosure was modeled with Fusion 360. Holes are present for access to the Micro USB charging port and button controls. The watchband can also be removed and swapped at will.
Inspirations / Moodboards
Originally, the watch was planned to feature a flat, minimalistic theme. This idea has been somewhat carried on, albeit with a few changes.

For example, both of the digital and analog watch faces draw inspiration from traditional watch displays, but also incorporate the idea of simplicity in their designs.

The weather app has been completely changed from a colourful and earthy feel into an easy-to-read and informational display.
