Remote Control Mini Project

Remote Control Mini Project
We had to ask friends and family questions about remote controls in general and design one based on their feed back. Below shows how my design turned out
Final Design
Design Choices
The top 3 buttons on this remote are for Power, Mic and Input, The buttons underneath it are for numbers 0-9. The top long cut outs are for volume and channel buttons while the big circle button is for navigation and selection, under that is the back button. The bottom 2 button cut outs are for a smart TV these will be for either quick access to Netflix and Prime or for them the access Apps and Menus.
You will place the batteries underneath the remote, which is made to take AA.
The interior of the remote will include ribs in an X pattern to provide the maximum support and a single rib at the top. The battery section will act as a support too. For the board to simply sit and be fastened in, mounding tops are given.
