We designed the format of the poster and flyer for the Music Collection Series, a regular concert event at the Ajisai Plaza, Seya Kumin Bunka Centre, Yokohama.
Does our eyesight perceive harmony because of overlapping lines, or are we designed to find harmony in the overlapping of lines? The concept of lines is imprinted in our memory as a symbol for timelines and musical scales, just as staves are. The visual harmony created by the delicate overlapping of the lines of the musical symbols expresses the harmony that music is capable of.
横浜市瀬谷区民文化センターあじさいプラザで、定期的に開催されるコンサートイベント「Music Collection Series」のポスター＆フライヤーのフォーマットをデザインしました。
線が重なるから私たちの視覚が調和が生まれるのか、線の重なりに調和を見出すようにできているのか？五「線」譜があるように、線という概念はタイムラインや音階を示す記号として、私たちの目と記憶に刻まれています。音楽記号の線の繊細な重なりが生みだす視覚的調和によって、音楽の持つハーモニーを表現しました。
