For this typography project I was instructed to select a talk given in the October 2022 session of General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have someone in mind that I would like to gift the booklet to. The purpose of this project is to design a multipage booklet while focusing on typographic hierarchy that engages a reader in the content.
The design process included creating initial sketches, converting the sketches to digital, making variations and refinements, adding color, creating a matching cover, and presenting the final booklet in a mockup format.
For this project I used a 4 column grid and alternated the pages of text to have either 2 columns or one column that is centered for variety. I used ample white space to help engage the reader into the typography and started my text part way down the page. The colors I chose are soft and feminine to match the context of the talk as well as my intended recipient of the gift booklet. The back cover reads "Transformed" and is significant to the context of the talk.
