Facial Expressions

Azri Rig

I’ve never really played with facial rigs before so this was a new challenge to me. Though this rig is very easy to work with which made the learning process a bit easier. The face rig does not seem as complex as some of the other ones I have seen. Facial expressions change the feel of the whole animation, even if you don’t really get to see them. It’s the subtle changes that make such a big difference.

Zelda Rig

I downloaded this free rig from gumroad.com/l/aBcqX  and began getting to know also how this one worked, this one seemed a bit more complex than the Azri Rig. There are a lot more facial rig options to use which is very handy as it already had pre-set eyebrow and mouth movements.

Whether you notice them or not, facial animations play a massive part in expressing a character's feelings so I began to test which expressions I could create as  I haven’t really worked with facial rigs in detail before:
