About
Marcos Ramírez Erre is a mexican artist who focuses on socio-political issues around the U.S. border; his work shows an interesting combination between art, architecture, urbanism, and popular culture.
This project aims to represent ERRE’s work identity  through a series of icons that can function together in several applications. Each icon relates to the different materials and textures seen during the process of building construction, which is the artist main technique.

Project Strategy
The icon system is based on one single structure: the outline of a cube, a form that can be considered as fundamental in the building industry, mainly because of the way it defines a space. Applications were made out of wood so they could resemble the job of the artist, the printing was made with silkscreen so it wouldn’t affect the material. The whole identity preserves a natural color palette similar to that one of wood and the packaging of construction materials.
