THE HOBO PROJECT
This project focuses on exploring the problem of homelessness and creating rational solutions in terms of causes and underlying needs. By considering the two perspectives of the physical and psychological needs of the homeless and social identity as a perspective, combined with the possibilities of interaction between urban residents. A point exchange device was created in collaboration with a convenience store, where points can be earned through the act of urban scavenging or spontaneous sorting of recyclable waste, and can be exchanged for replacement goods provided by the convenience store, meeting the balance of needs between different target groups. The problem of homelessness is also emphasised in the behavioural development of the value of labour, and the complex problem of homelessness is addressed by weakening the sense of disparity between people and changing their consciousness and behaviour.
