Turntable Music was the last logo I tasked myself with creating. I wanted to make a logo for a record shop with a classic and retro design. I once again gave myself one week to finish this.
For this logo, I decided to draw a base logo, then work with fonts and lines to create a more classic record shop look. I went with a record design but divided it up into sections.
For the colours, I chose three palettes of two, Green and Blue symbolising reliability and harmony, Purple and Yellow both symbolising creativity, and Black and White symbolising sophistication and clarity.
I removed one of the segments from the final design to further streamline the logo. I ended up really liking this design, I think the monochrome style mixes well with the shapes. Though next time, I might try dabbling in sepia tones for an older look than black and white.
I redrew the design digitally, removing the centre circle to make the design more streamlined. I then added the lines and fonts. I used Caviar Dreams for its elegant appearance.
I decided on the classic black and white colours, as it most gave the look I was looking for.
