This Photoshop composite is a poster I made for the History channel show "Vikings". I needed to tell a story from the show effectively using only imagery. I used 2 images to create the sky and field in the background of the composition, and 6 additional images (above).
I combined the images using smart objects, layer styles, and adjustment layers, adding more vibrance and contrast to the photos in the foreground, which represent actions taking place in the present time in the story being told. To differentiate actions taking place in the past, I added a blue tone and a subtle blur to the images in the upper left section of the composite, to suggest distance in both time and space, since they are meant to suggest memories.
