The purpose of this project was to create an infographic that explains complex information in a creative and visually appealing way. This project represents the events of the Salem witch trials using a Pinterest layout. It features illustrations done in both Procreate and Adobe Illustrator. A gothic, colonial, and witch-like aesthetic is utilized to emphasize the timing of the event as well as the circumstances. Visuals as well as texture is used to evoke interest and emotion from viewers. Book Antiqua as well as SabbathBlack are used to enforce hierarchy as well as keep the viewers attention. Green was chosen to be featured heavily as it is commonly associated with stereotypical witches. Black, red, and blue were utilized to break up the information, add contrast, and further evoke feelings of uneasiness.
