Mid-Term for my computer molding class we were asked to design and build a desk lamp. Combing both modern and industrial aspects I had come up with this idea for a lamp.

At the rear of my lamp you will notice a whole in which the power cord can easily go through. Looking further on the left hand side of the base there is a button for an on and off switch.

Utilizing the materials that match my design philosophy redwood and plastic are used for the structure of the lamp. Detail work is included in the bottom portion of the base in both the front and rear.

Allowing the cord and all parts to be seen allows the user easy access to maintenance and a mechanical feel to an industrial styled desk lamp.
