Who are the Black Rebel Motorcylcle Club?
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, now based in Los Angeles. BRMC is known for their garage rock, blues, folk revival, neo-psychedelia sound. They are influenced by bands such as: The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Verve, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, T. Rex, The Velvet Underground, Love and Rockets, Daniel Ash, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. The Project
Working with BC Print Media, we’re excited to announce that B.C. Print designed and printed the gigposter for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s May 3rd show at the House of Blues, Boston. This is a band we’ve followed for years, and are thrilled with the opportunity to work with them. The poster (below) is a 4 color screen print on 110 lb. off-white Cougar paper measuring in at 18”X24” with an edition of 100. All 100 of these bad boys were hand-printed, editioned and sealed with a smooch. Thanks again to the B.R.M.C.
The Process
A while back I had decided to draw a different animal for a week, and by far the most dynamic was a the tiger. At that phase I only had an outline, so I decided to create a grunge brush set by taking ink to paper and scanning them into the computer. I had scanned in paper textures, grass, ink, and various random patterns that I created along the way to overlay on top of each other.
