For drawing ability, I chose this piece I completed in Art 121. This was a contour line drawing in which we wanted to create a strong composition with realistic proportions. We were not allowed to use shading. Even though this is my most simplistic piece in my portfolio, I am still quite proud of it. It has a uniqueness to it that just makes me smile. I also believe that I achieved my goal of creating a realistic portrayal.

In order to bring the piece together, I used line as my primary resource. Using it to create form, space, balance, and emphasis. I used thicker line weight to convey where shadows would have been, and repetition of similar lines to create texture. Specifically in the fabric and shoe.
