Task Description
- Create your own character and background scene
- Change the movement of the character and ensure the character passes by the environment logically


For this character rigging animation
I create animation of cat walking at park.

Including the background of the to ensure that the character is walking through the background.
PRE-PRODUCTION
BRAINSTORMING
Planning phase. Sketching cat, breaking down and simplfying the shape. Divide and marking joints into 2-3 sections.
Testing animation on after effects
Making vector of of cat illustration bbased on the sketches. Made changes especially the head facing forward instead of 3/4 and also the colour.
Using pen tool to create single continuous stroke with 3 sections for cat legs.
Sketches park background for the cat animation. Made 2 sketches for decision making and decide to pick the 2nd version of the park background.
Made vector version of the park after picking the 2nd park background, m. Combining multiple shapes to create bushes, trees, clouds and buildings.
Imported files to after effects after finishing the vector cat and park background illustration.Turn vector images into shape layer for part that need to be animation such as legs, body and tails. Cat legs made with 3 strokes based on joints and positioning the location of each joints for every keyframes.

Since the overall cat walking animation was made in a single cycle. Using time remap to help allowing the single cycle animation to loop many times.
