Animals in the Metaverse

Animals in the Metaverse
This project is about our future generations not being able to witness the existence of animals that the last generations have seen on a daily basis, growing up. I will be looking into a city much like our Lahore which exists in the Metaverse in a dystopian world not far from where we are now, most animals have died out in this world. So a software was programmed to create versions of animals that no longer exist, versions that serve a purpose in the meta verse ie; pigeons used as messengers by locals and companies. These animals in-order to complete the tasks given to them include elements that might help them work with more accuracy and robotic precision and which make them much different from the animals that we see in real life. Except for their features that serve the purpose of giving humans a false sense of nature in their lives, the animals will have unique and diverse functions aimed at serving humanity exclusively. By doing this, I reinforce the concept which has persisted in the past to a wide audience; animals exist to serve humans at the expense of their own existence. Exploration of the idea of the sad reality of climate change in a dystopian world, and the existence of the Metaverse and the sad attempt to recreate a false sense of animals and nature showing how we as humans have failed but still persist in maintaining a fragile sense of connection to what birthed us; nature.
