Alone in the Park

This series captures people in their own company in Central Park. The quiet, happy, content, peaceful solitude. The uneven colors that are bordering the both pairs of photographs represent the connectedness of the two images, of the two people. On their own, they are alone. But they, along with everyone, are connected through space/earth.
In between the two photographs are empty benches with a person’s belongings. It could be anyone’s.

The way this series is structured is quite symbolic in a way: beginning and ending with a bench, void of people but the things they left behind, and in between, images of people alone yet together sharing the same space.
