This is a digital art piece I created July of 2022 using Adobe Photoshop. Through this piece I was trying to convey the idea of a tainted love potion (which is actually poison in disguise) which represents infatuation and how it is often mistaken for love, even though infatuation is the more harmful of the two. Through this piece I experimented with color schemes, exploring how color placement and saturation affects the mood of the piece. I also experimented with conveying a complex character expression that expressed that the character was infatuated while also being in pain. Through this piece, I also learned how to use new Photoshop brushes which allowed me to gain more familiarity and experience with the program.
