Title Page and first two pages of the booklet of the talk "That They Might Know Them"
I had the opportunity to make a booklet of my favorite talk from the October 2022 General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The assignment required only a picture of the speaker and any design features must be done with Typography and glyphs. We were to have quotes, pull quotes and headings. You were to expected to have these features help tell the talk for those who may be skimming through the booklet. The assignment required page numbers in an original way and that footnotes needed to be included in the book. The following are some other mock-ups of the pages.
I chose to make the title page simple with the title standing out. I wanted the largest words be Know Him since that is what the speaker hopes his readers will do, know Christ.
I used a specific color for the text to keep the flow consistent and other colors for the pull-quotes and quotes. Each name of Christ has the call to action the speaker gave for each one.
