THE BLOODY NATURAL KIT
The Bloody Natural Kit is designed to introduce the notion of period stigma to young menstruators aged 12 to 18.

Menstruation is a healthy and natural part of the reproductive cycle, yet stigmatisation around it still exists today. It is treated as a taboo subject and discussions around periods are kept hush. This project aims to educate young menstruators about the importance of addressing period stigma through a fun and interactive way.

The stamps go hand in hand with the zine to create an interactive zine. Individuals will learn about topics ranging from ways to tackle period stigma to debunking myths. Using the stamps, they can create their own period character and stamp it in a variety of scenarios throughout the zine. The idea is to turn something that is treated as taboo and dirty into something normal, playful and positive!
TAKE A PLEDGE!
At the end of the zine, individuals are encouraged to speak up against period stigma by taking a pledge. They will stamp their character on the pledge card and pen down words of encouragement to other menstruators. They will then take a photo of their card and post it on instagram with the hashtag #itsbloodynaturalpledge.
INSTAGAM PAGE
All posts collected from the hashtag will be reposted on the Instagram page, transforming it into a gallery of period empowerment. People can view each other's posts and encourage each other to fight period stigma!
