This picture I took represent schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by disruptions in thought processes, perceptions, emotional responsiveness, and social interactions.
The faces and words on the mirror are sometimes what people with schizophrenia see or hear when they are in a schizophrenic state like how they would say "They're not my own thoughts" "I hear voices telling me what to do or think".
The person in the back represents when some people with schizophrenia and what they would see and how they feel they are all ways being watch.
The person in the front with their hand in there hair represents the frustration of how when they tell people what is happening, most don't believe them saying they're making it up and it all in your head. They feel as though they are not being understood.
This photo I made in contribution to my brother because he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and has struggled for year to get help with his condition, I am very proud of him for the progress he has made so far and know he will live a full-filling life. This condition is nothing to take lightly because it can effect every day life but with the right help you can live a pretty normal life.
Contact the NAMI HelpLine at 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) or info@nami.org if you have any questions about schizophrenia or finding support and resources.
This photo represent Bipolar disorder.
The hand represent the frustration of feeling taped and how you'll never truly know what state of mind you will have next.
The skull and the mask represent the two different state of bipolar, you could be having a manic episode that represent the mask or you could be having a depressive episode that represents the skull.

This was my thought process for the photos
