Redesigned covers of the Inheritance Cycle book series by Christopher Paolini. The design takes inspiration from the legends and epic poems centered around Gwain and the Green Knight, Beowulf, the Iliad, and the Odyssey. I focused on the style of Beowulf and  nordic manuscript art and applied it to the appearance of the dragons themselves. Each dragon on the covers serves to represent different critical piece of the story itself, so that the reader can appreciate and grasp the nuance of the design upon reading the books themselves. The type for each book follows the original series style but is more aged and worn in appearance.The covers themselves are made with leather and hand-sown to push the concept further.
