Aquatime is a cloud-based CareTech solution that helps prevent dehydration in the elderly.
The intelligent drinking glass continuously monitors fluid intake and displays drinking status on the glass. Fluid intake is accurately detected using a weight cell and an accelerometer. Intelligent algorithms optimize fluid intake and detect liquids that are poured out.
The device uploads data to a cloud based system tailored to carers and healthcare professionals. Aquatime drinking data is automatically summarized and the solution provides relevant insights and notifications.
The goal of this project was to provide senior citizens and health caregivers with a good basis for preventing dehydration. Through insight into the elderly’s drinking pattern, we can document fluid intake, prevent dehydration, and motivate a better life.
Together with the team at Møller Jensen Innovation & Design I provided industrial design, product development, design for manufacturing and testing.
