Natural inspiration within contemporary illustration

Combining a number of premade textures I arranged the segments to form a base for the illustration.
This piece combines quink and indian ink, bleach, black and blue biro, glue, salt and a variety of collaged materials.
Owl - Biro on card.

A Reimagined illustration based on the style of Iain McArthur, I have used many of the same motifs found in McArthurs work such as the leaf styled fanning around the eyes and the vertical linework used throughout the illustration.
Eagle - Biro on card
A recreation of an Iain MacArthur illustration.
Flight Biro on card

Orange - Ink and Bleach on card.

An original illustration using inspiration from illustrator Laura Chapman (AKA Laura-Kate Draws). Using cocktail sticks, I attempted to adopt the style of Laura Chapman using similar nature inspired motifs.
Here I have combined water soluble materials such as felt tip pens, fineliners and watercolour pencils as a means of getting over my aversion of colour.
Mono/Poly printing using layered paints to create a selection of bold prints using motifs that I had previously used.
