Can free fonts be good? Where do you find the best ones? Can we be inspired by a funny font? Which fonts may scare us? How can we use them? The book is an incomplete compendium of the best, most interesting, bizarre, beautiful, ugly and most useful free fonts. It was a joint project of the course on experimental typography in the summer semester 2010. Each student had developed a unique collection of about ten free fonts. Each collection was marked by an own color of paper. The book should serve as a working equipment, reference book, catalogue and as an inspiration.
