CONCEPT: Motion Design, Logo Animation

REFLECTION: This was my first attempt at logo animation, I was not sure how specifically I could achieve a smooth and fluid animation like the client wanted as this particular logo was one big word logo as opposed to seperate letters which are easier to animate. However, with lots of experimenting and feedback from the client, the client and I were both satisfied with the result. 

As for the process, I used illustrator to re-create the logo as an ai file to be able to convert it as a functional shape layer. Then I used masks, twist paths and off-set duplicated layers with varied colours from the brand's colour palette for the logo and trim paths and the Mercury effects and presets for the splash.
