I work in a very fast paced enviroment where I create and edit over 40 ads a day. Our design team does all print ads for over 25 small town publications from Arizona to South Carolina so we have to be very fast and we have to pick and choose our creativity to fit that necessity.

On this particular ad, I felt like I wanted to unleash some new creativity that's been building up. I wanted to steer away from the normal everyday print advertising and add some abstractness to it.

 

I created a custom abstract background using Photoshop and Illustrator in under an hour(we most often use stock imagery for backgrounds etc.). After placing the background in InDesign. I started designing the other elements, boxes, etc, again in about an hour. Finally, I added the required text and vehicles in the last hour.
