Visual Story Telling Class

Illustrative pieces that I built in each of the stages of my Visual Storytelling class.
The primary focus was looking at how text and character positioning (with some application of color if desired) can tell a compelling or interesting story.

The first project was to build a character and build them a short story that make builds clear understanding of how to portray characters and their personality through body movement, faces, and language.
This next project was to take inspiration from previous "The New Yorker" covers and build our own. We needed to apply emphasis in telling a story in a single image, so illustration layout and color use was very important.
