We made a trip to Detroit to help our daughter get settled in her new place, and took a few days to explore the area.  We found the city and areas around Detroit to be quite beautiful.  Being from the south we were rather surprised to see people swimming in Lake Huron when the temps were below 70, to us that is still early spring weather and kinda cool.
