Publikacija nas kronološki vodi kroz život Vincent Van Gogha, podijeljena je u 3 glavne kategorije od kojih svaka ima 2 podijele. Kategorije su prikazane kao 3 linije u različitim bojama. Svaka linija se bavi jednim segmentom iz života Vincent Van Gogha.
Na prednjoj strani žuta linija nas vodi kroz kronologiju umjetničkih dijela, paralelno zelena linija nam priča o njegovom intimnom životu, inspiraciji, psihičkom stanju. Plava linija prati tok nastanka umjetničkih djela i životne price označavajući lokacije i duljinu perioda koji je proveo u određenom mjestu.
Stražnja strana je ponajviše bazirana na informacijama prikupljenim iz pisama između Van Gogha i njegovog brata Thea. Žuta linija vodi kroz neke od najznačajnijih izreka i misli vezanih uz slikarstvo. Zelena linija citira značajne ulomke iz pisama koji nam pričaju o njegovim najdubljim osjećajima, događajima i problemima. Plava linija nas upoznaje s najbitnijim ljudima njegova života, obitelji, prijateljima, uzorima. Sve tri linije su kronološki usklađene te je njihov oblik ujedno i sugestija na dinamiku, promjene, psihičke i stvaralačke uspone i padove.
The publication takes us chronologically through the life of Vincent Van Gogh, it is divided into 3 main categories, each of which has 2 divisions. Categories are shown as 3 lines in different colors. Each line deals with one segment from the life of Vincent Van Gogh.
On the front, the yellow line guides us through the chronology of the art pieces, the parallel green line tells us about his intimate life, inspiration, mental state. The blue line follows the course of the creation of works of art and the price of life, indicating the locations and the length of the period spent in a certain place.
The back side is mostly based on information gleaned from letters between Van Gogh and his brother Theo. The yellow line leads through some of the most significant sayings and thoughts related to painting. The Green Line quotes significant excerpts from letters that tell us about his innermost feelings, events and problems. The blue line introduces us to the most important people in his life, family, friends, role models. All three lines are chronologically aligned, and their shape is also a suggestion of dynamics, changes, psychological and creative ups and downs.
