Short Story: The Instinctive Sailor

A Passage from the Archives Titled: The Instinctive Sailor
engulfed in a world of waves and skies of darkness the lone sailor navigates the changing currents.  careful not to drown in the sea of untold truths and endless possibilities he keeps his feet and remains safe from the boats' edge.

the dark clouds band together and coat the sun from its light. spitting rain against the shores.  thunderous lightning emits the world for a second before returning to a gloom filled atmosphere.  the sailor feels the droplets press against his face. numb to the cold he steers his sails through the impulsive currents. navigating through his seas of thought.

the expedition had begun with optimism and a path. but now only optimism remains.  or perhaps so does the path.  for time on the sea has helped the man grow wise.  the depths of the minds ocean are vast and unforgiving. its currents are impossible to determine. and discourse is inevitable.  but what is discourse without a course. and what is this lost feeling without a path to begin with.  without knowing the man did not lose grip with his path. he had chosen to throw it away. deciding to abolish all notions of a righteous path. and instead becoming the path.

embracing the waves as a guiding force. the man became empowered through multiple everchanging everlasting paths.  a realisation that induced the beams from the man's internal sun. the clouds will pass and the tides will settle. but until then. this light and calmness holds real and empowered from within. a safe haven of reassurance when the currents are unsettled.
