Scent Institute Ltd. - Package Design

The Scent Institute Ltd. is dedicated to the development of products related to the sense of smell. Rhinitis is a very distressing condition, where you lose some sense of smell during an attack, so the Odour Research Institute has developed a rhinitis spray. Most rhinitis cannot be cured quickly and is more of a chronic condition requiring long-term medication. The design of the product follows the company's philosophy of smell, as different flowers bloom in each season and each flower smells differently. Identity Design
For the brand image, a simple portrait of a person is outlined using lines in order to highlight the concept of human-centredness and nature, and then the flowers of different seasons are combined with the portrait on top of the portrait.
The branding image shown on the right is for a nasal spray, and to fit the theme of nasal infection, a red ball is drawn on the nose of the portrait to indicate a lack of ventilation and the expression of the portrait is changed.
Package Nets& Overarching Graphics
The graphic on the right is the main graphic of the rhinitis pack. The graphic has a size of 160mm*110mm and consists of four faces.
The first face contains basic information about the medicine and instructions for use; the second face shows an image of a flower, the third face contains the name of the medicine and the main logo, and the fourth face shows an illustration of how to use it.
Identity & Labelling Design
The Scent Institute also has another product about scent - perfume. The perfume is a constant reminder of the concept of smell and, in keeping with the concept of the Scent Institute, the design of the perfume is inspired by the four seasons. The difference is that the perfumes are designed with a more floral focus, with each bottle representing a different floral scent: freesia in spring, jasmine in summer, osmanthus in autumn and plum in winter. In terms of packaging design, more attention is paid to the individuality of each flower, reflecting the natural, unique concept in the pattern. All hand-painted patterns are created in the software Procreate.
