I created a typographic journal for Meggs' 'history of graphic design' chapter 21. I used physical illustrations, photoshop to manipulate photos and indesign to create the spread. I went for a purple, white and black theme with hand drawn elements and ripped paper as motifs throughout.
The contents page is simple and uses a grid to set out the information. I have reused the ring illustration for the section numbers.
I used a DSLR camera to take photos and edited them using photoshop.
I have kept to the simple theme, making sure the text stands out.
The final page links to the first page and uses a grid to align the text and illustration.
