Jardin d'Hiver
"spin off" of MONT DORE's illustration
More than a year ago, drawing her face as I wanted to was a struggle
I botched the rest of the character’s design by forgetting the original idea
I never entirely liked the result
Reworking (more easily) the drawing and re-useing the elements and details that I liked
Reworking (more easily) the drawing and re-useing the elements and details that I liked
the result is now more impactful, to my taste
and enhance the hours of headache I had on it
I wanted to recreate something graphic
Mont-Dore is a little town in the French mountains
well known for its beautiful thermal baths from the middle of the 19th century
the city is still littered with Arts Nouveau vestiges from its glorious years
The name "Mont Dore" means "Gold Mont"
the atmospheres of this classy and yet into the nature town
plus the softness of Henri Salvador song "jardin d'hiver"
inspired me this illustration
HAVE FUN WITH THE SWIPE THING
