This project originally started out with a art contest that was held on the Perfect World forums for Zombie Studios' free-to-play shooter, Blacklight: Retribution. Pictured below was my entry that ended up being one of the three winning pieces.
Aftewards, I was approached by a few users encouraging me to make more helmets from the game. I mulled over the idea a bit before deciding that this would be a good oppurtunity to get better at using Adobe Illustrator. After working on this off and on for a year, these are the results. Everything was made from scratch, including the typefonts you see below each helmet.
