Objective:
To provide an online social media platform that is a safe place for young individuals to open up and share stories of challenges that they may have faced. An anonymous place to share their differences, concerns, feelings, etc., and gain empathy from others' stories as well. The intended audience would be young people between the ages of 12-14. The goal is to spread empathy and focus on “Putting Yourself in Someone’s Shoes”.

Solution:
Shoebox is an online social media platform that connects you with thousands of individuals to share your stories and works to unveil the truth and demystify the challenges that our youth face. The concept stems from the idea of the shoebox you would keep your memories, photos, secrets, and personal information.
High Fidelity Prototype
The user logs in and is prompted to create a short video talking about themselves. The app is intended to showcase videos from other like-minded peers and enable users to interact with one another. The goal is that by hearing stories they may be able to relate to or learn something new so that they can reflect on this practice when they encounter someone different.
