I started out with the line drawing and began working on each of the individual pieces.
I got all the individual chess pieces done, paying special attention to signify a contrast between the clear and frosted pieces.
Next step was to start filling in the actual chess board.
Finally I added some darker shading throughout to improve the contrast of the entire picture.
