As it was first of its kind mattress product in Pakistan, the whole design process stage had its challenges as well.
Problem statement: As the product comes in a box rolled up and compressed, the materials and cuts for the finished surface of the product needed to be flexible enough to not be damaged and are wrinkle free.
The Secondary focus for the surface design was to cater to the younger generations. The young adults are primary target market so the surface design needed to accommodate a more fun/cooler mattress vibe than the ones available in the market.
Top fabric knit with the Brand Pattern was proposed to be converted from Red to white on white to give it a more cleaner and fresh look
Keeping the brand color guideline in mind. Purple cotton twill with wrinkle resistant finish was proposed with a cyan fabric tape in combination with white on white top fabric.
