Valvoline,in wanting to take interest in re-emerge into the Japanese market, has been eyeing to fund an entry into Super Formula Series. They have been in the market before in the 1990's, with funding Lamborghini Diablos in the JGTC, as well as being on Mark Martin's Roush Ford Taurus when NASCAR themselves had Japan exhibition races.
To create emphasis on how the power and smoothness of their product is, the livery has two phases: light and flowing at the front, and brutal, scattered and powerful at the beginning of the air-box, around the side pods, and through to the rear wing. Showing how smooth yet brutally powerful and efficient performance.
