Brief: Creating a new illustration for the 2023 Salomon Summer Camp event, a training camp to prepare Salomon athletes for the UTMB. Salomon gave me “carte blanche'' for the design, the only constraint was to use no color.
Art direction: For this illustration I used my personal style mixed with a cartoon style, with boxes and exaggerated characters. All illustrations are in a running/mountain environment and with camping/outdoor references.
Creation process: To make this illustration I started to make research for inspiration. When I approximately knew what my design would look like I started sketching on paper. Then I scanned all my drawings and recreated them in Illustrator.
