Bay leaves, scientifically known as Laurus nobilis, have long been used in preserving legumes and grains by shielding them from pests and moisture. In addition to bay leaves, these cultures employed various ingredients to safeguard legumes from insects and moisture. An ancient method involves placing rice alongside small-grain foods like salt and brown sugar, effectively preventing clumping due to moisture. This method inspired the design of Twist, merging tradition and innovation to protect your pantry essentials.

Innovative lid design
When it's time to preserve your pantry staples, Twist simplifies the process. Opening the chamber is as simple as giving it a twist, allowing you to add your choice of salt, garlic, dry bay leaf, or rice grains. A quick twist in the opposite direction securely seals it, ensuring your jar's contents are shielded from both insects and moisture. No more worries about unwanted guests or moisture ruining your stored goods.

At Twist, sustainability is at the heart of product design. The cover of this innovative protection solution is made of plant-derived polymer known as PLA, and the body is made of completely recyclable glass. The main reason why PLA was chosen is that it is a renewable and biodegradable material derived from sugar cane, significantly reducing our environmental footprint. In this way, not only can we create an environmentally friendly product, but we can also contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for the planet.
