My Family and I really like camping and I wanted to make some stickers that resembled that. I know that it is not the same for all, but camping has most of the same general elements. Those elements are the designs for my stickers. I have made them, but have had help from my friends in the creative community and mentors I work with as well. I wanted to create these stick for those that like to camp so they can have a reminder and nostalgic feeling of the great outdoors. 

You can see in the sketches below that I was focusing on mountains and wildlife for the majority of this project. I shifted away from those more towards the end, but gained valuable experience from starting off with those. I still continued with the outdoors concept and created some great stickers.

When I started adding them in illustrator, my ideas were not coming out like how I wanted them to look. It was taking some adjusting using different creative ideas and adjusting to the illustrator as well. There was a huge learning curve for me and I ended up scrapping a couple of ideas for ones that I thought would be better. 

The graphics that are on the top of the page are the ones that I started with. I honestly was not happy with them, but was able to work turn this project around into stickers that I like. Towards the bottom of that last photo was me doing a masterclass to help me understand some of the concepts and style that I wanted more. It helped me with the use of shadows and highlights as I was working on my other stickers.

The best feedback that I received when I was showing these to my peers and mentors is that I should give them more of a silhouette. If they were left to a silhouette that they were in they would just be rectangles and and circles. I applied that and give more distinct shapes to my next designs.

If not for others, but for me I feel like these stickers do communicate what happens when people go camping. In my childhood these are what I would say characterize camping.
