Independence Week Campaign
Zambia's road to independence was marked by a historical journey that culminated in the nation's liberation from colonial rule. Formerly known as Northern Rhodesia, Zambia achieved its independence on October 24, 1964, marking a significant turning point in the country's history.

The struggle for self-determination was a complex and often challenging process, with notable figures like Kenneth Kaunda playing pivotal roles in leading the nation toward autonomy.

Following Zambia's independence, significant developments unfolded within the education sector, attributable to the contributions of freedom fighters who continued to make substantial impacts even after the nation had gained its autonomy.

This campaign sought to highlight the transformations brought about by independence and honor the crucial role played by freedom fighters in making these changes possible.
Thank you.
