Within these abstracted landscapes lie an element of realism that is informed by the changing beauty and design in nature. The viewer may feel a sense of isolation and be transported to place that allows an emotional and spiritual connection. Although not specific to any area, they are a result of many places lived and visited. The fluid properties of acrylic paint allow intentional accidents within a variety of shapes and implied textures which portray the underlying concept of an untouched land. In seeking to evoke different emotions, the artist, through the use of colour, creates an ambience which emerges from a sensitive and contemplative level, but which at times is energetic and untamed.
