So, Bella, how was your first week in your new college? And did you make any friends?
Bella
(Replies in a monotone tone)
It was alright. It was just the first week so nothing much happened and about speaking about friends I have a friend named Jacob, but he is more like an acquaintance rather than a friend.
Holland
Is something wrong? Why do you sound so sad and so low of energy? And why is Jacob just an acquaintance and not your friend?
Bella
(Shouts angrily)
Nothing’s wrong and what’s with all these questions just leave me alone and forget that anything I said about Jacob.
Bella angrily gets up and goes to her room while her parents are stunned due to the reaction of Bella.
INTERCUT TO BELLA’S ROOM
INT. BELLA’S ROOM – WASHROOM – NIGHT
Bella, after shouting at her parents runs into her room and slams the room’s door and slowly goes in her washroom and removes her long-sleeved shirt while tears are streaming down her face. Her torso and arms are littered with scars and bruises.
(After 5 minutes)
Bella cleans herself up and lays down in her bed. She went to sleep having dark thoughts and wondered how she was going to hide the fact that she was being bullied at her college.
CUT TO:
EXT. OAK TREE COLLEGE – MORNING
Bella rides her bicycle to college and parks it in the parking lot. The college is very famous in this small town named Oak town as only the students that go to this college are rich. Bella’s family moved to this town after her father lost his job and they couldn’t afford many things.
INT. OAK TREE COLLEGE
Bella walks inside and sees the hallway full of people which makes her anxiety worsen, she walks to her locker to take out her books as she starts walking to her class Britney and Patricia starts by pushing her down and Britney who was drinking coffee throws her coffee all over Bella. Everyone in the hallway stops and stares at the scene, Bella embarrassed gets up and runs towards the toilet, while running she bumps into someone and starts falling down. Suddenly, arms enclosed around her and stops her from falling. Bella stunned stares at the stranger.
Stranger
Take a picture it will lose longer.
Bella
(Blushes and jumps aways from the stranger)
Sorry I didn’t mean to.
Stranger
It’s Ok and if you were wondering who this stranger is. My name is Edward, and it is my first day today. Oh, I just noticed are you Ok? There’s coffee all over you and you seem to have been crying.
Bella
(Gets embarrassed)
I’m fine, I just spilled coffee over myself when I got distracted by something.
Bella ignores Edward about the crying thing and offers to show him the college and where his classes are. First, they go to the toilets, Edward helps her and lends her the extra shirt that he had in his locker. Bella shows Edward where his first class is being held and then goes to her class. The entirety of the day she was thinking about how Edward helped her and how he was the first one to ever look on her as a friend and not as someone who couldn’t afford to buy new dresses and shoes every day apart from her friend Jacob.
INT. OAK TREE COLLEGE – LATER
After the classes were over Bella started wondering where Jacob was as she had not seen him the whole day and she found it weird that he hadn’t come to help her when Brittany and Patricia were bullying her as Jacob was always the first one to come help her. Bella had lied when she had told her that Jacob wasn’t her friend, Jacob was always there for her through the tough times, and he wanted to be friends with her, but she was the one that was afraid to befriend him as she was afraid to trust him.
EXT. OAK TREE COLLEGE – PARKING LOT
Bella looking for Jacob goes to the parking lot and suddenly someone pushes her to the ground. Bella, shocked, sees Brittany being the one to push her as she never directly bullies her, it’s always Patricia that does the bullying according to what Brittany says.
Brittany
If I were you, poor girl, I would stay as far as possible from Edward. He would never be friends with a low life like you who cannot even afford to buy a meal at a restaurant.
Patricia
Yeah, if you have an ounce of shame, you wouldn’t even think about it and why the heck are you wearing his shirt?
Brittany
Aww how cute. She’s wearing it because Edward has a kind heart, he gave his shirt to her because he knew that she cannot afford one.
Bella, crying, stands up and turns to walk away but someone grabs her hand and stops her before she can run away. It's Jacob who is glaring at Brittany and Patricia. Edward also arrives at the scene and runs towards Bella and hugs her tightly. Brittany seeing this gets furious and starts shouting curse words at Bella, Edward who now knows everything about the bullying as Jacob told him at lunch break is furious and yells at Brittany and Patricia.
Edward
Shame on both of you, both of you are bullying her just because she doesn’t wear expensive clothes and dines at expensive hotels, and this is not only for Brittany and Patricia this is for everyone watching you all are part of this bullying as none of you once try to stop them from bullying Bella.
Brittany, Patricia and everyone ashamed of themselves apologize to Bella about the way they treated her and promised themselves that they would never again bully anyone.
